NetEase.com, Inc.(Nasdaq: NTES), a leading Internet technology company supporting China’s top ranked Web sites, today announced a partnership with China’s People University and the Web site prcedu.com to create the “NetEase Online Education Network”.

The NetEase Web site, located at http://www.163.com, becomes the exclusive online agent of the People’s University Education Center, promoting student enrollment and online education. Students who register on the site and complete the required courses will receive an official diploma from the prestigious People’s University, a government-recognized institution.

As part of the agreement, NetEase will receive a percentage of the sign-up fee and tuition from the People’s University for each student who registers online.

“The partnership is a new and innovative way to leverage our 9 million strong registered user base by providing premium online services,” commented Susan Chen, Chief Operating Officer of NetEase.com. “As NetEase and the People’s University are both recognized leaders in China, our cooperation will further the integration of the Internet into the education community in China.”

As NetEase furthers its development of online education in China, the company also recently launched an education column with the world’s largest English training organization, Englishtown.com, to provide online English courses to users of the NetEase Web site.
